Editorial Policy

USA Celebs is an independent celebrity news site, and this Editorial Policy is the standard every story on the Site is held to. It is enforced by the editor, Sonali Baidya. If a story you read does not meet the standard below, please tell us using the Corrections Policy.

Independence

Editorial decisions are made independently of advertisers, public-relations representatives, sponsors, and any business partners. No third party is granted advance review of, or veto power over, an article. Sponsored content, when it appears, is clearly labeled and never disguised as editorial — see Advertising Disclosure.

Sourcing

  • Where possible, we cite the original source — an official statement, court record, regulatory filing, primary interview, or named first-hand witness — rather than a secondary news outlet.
  • When we report from another publication, we link to it and credit it by name.
  • Anonymous sources are used only when the information is materially newsworthy, cannot be obtained on the record, and the source has a credible reason to need protection. Anonymous claims are corroborated by at least one independent source before publication wherever feasible.

Verification before publication

  • Direct quotes are checked against their source.
  • Names, dates, and titles are verified against authoritative references (official press materials, IMDb credits, court documents, or first-party social-media accounts confirmed via verification badge or owner statement).
  • Images are sourced from a license-cleared wire service, an official press release, the rights-holder, or used under fair use for news reporting; uncertain images are not published.

What we do not publish

  • Stories that rely solely on unverifiable rumors or single anonymous claims about private matters.
  • Content that exposes the location of celebrities’ minor children, schools, or homes in a way that could endanger their safety.
  • Sexually explicit content, hateful content, or content that targets people on the basis of protected characteristics.
  • Stolen private images or content obtained through hacking, blackmail, or other unlawful means.

Bylines and ownership

Every article is signed by the writer who produced it. Currently that is the founder and editor, Sonali Baidya — read her full bio on Meet the Editor. Guest contributors, when invited, will appear under their own bylines with linked author profiles.

Use of AI tools

We use AI assistants only for non-creative tasks such as transcript clean-up, grammar checks, headline brainstorming, and image-asset generation for graphics that are clearly identified as illustrations. Editorial copy is written, fact-checked, and signed by a human. We do not publish fully AI-generated articles or AI-generated photographs of real people presented as if they were real photographs.

Conflicts of interest

Where the editor or a contributor has a personal, financial, or family relationship with a person or company being covered, that relationship is disclosed inside the article. If a conflict is material, the assignment is reassigned or the story is not published.

Updates and corrections

When facts evolve, we update articles transparently — usually with a dated update notice. When we get something wrong we say so under our Corrections Policy, rather than silently editing the original text.
