USA Celebs is committed to factual accuracy. When we get something wrong, we own it, fix it, and label the change clearly. This policy explains how.
How to report a correction
Email support@usacelebs.com with the subject line Correction and include:
- The URL of the article in question.
- A short description of what is incorrect.
- If possible, a link or document supporting the corrected version.
How we respond
- We aim to acknowledge correction requests within two business days.
- The editor reviews the claim against the article’s source material.
- If the article is wrong, we update it as quickly as possible.
- If the article is accurate as published, we respond explaining what we found.
How corrections are labeled
- Correction — used when an article contained a factual error. A note at the bottom of the article identifies what was wrong and what was changed, with the date.
- Update — used when new facts emerged after publication. A dated note describes what was added.
- Clarification — used when something was technically accurate but misleading; the wording is sharpened and a note explains the change.
- Retraction — used in rare cases where a story cannot be salvaged. The original text is replaced with an editor’s note and the URL is preserved.
What we do not do
We do not silently rewrite history. Once a story has been published, factual changes are documented inside the article. Cosmetic edits — typos, formatting fixes, a headline tweak that does not change meaning — may be made without a note.
