Golden Tempo stormed to victory in the 152nd Kentucky Derby 2026 at Churchill Downs, winning by two and a quarter lengths in a thrilling finish to the Run for the Roses.

Cherie DeVaux became the first woman to train a Kentucky Derby winner in 152 years of the race. Her emotional celebration in the winner circle was a landmark moment for the sport.

Golden Tempo finished first with a time of 2:01.88. Renegade held on for second place while the filly Ocelli charged late to grab third in a packed field of twenty horses.

Nicole Scherzinger, Neil Patrick Harris, Rob Gronkowski, Sue Bird, Von Miller, and Melissa Joan Hart were among the stars who packed Millionaires Row at Churchill Downs.
